Registration Begins May 22 for Summer Reading!

How do I get started?
Head to BEANSTACK to register for Summer Reading Challenges from May 22 through July 30 and record your books through online!

If you’ve already created a Beanstack account for summer reading or the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program, please use your original account—you can reset your password if you do not remember it.

You can also get the Beanstack Tracker App for iPhone or Android. When you register through the app, be sure to say you are participating through a library and select the Hall County Library System!

Create an account on the BEANSTACK website by clicking “Register an Individual or Family.”
Parents and caregivers create their own accounts, then create and manage reading accounts for their children by clicking the arrow next to their name in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and then selecting “Add a Reader.”

Adults reading on their own should register themselves as an Individual.

If you have questions about creating an account or registering for Summer Reading,
please call 770-532-3311, or email us at

Record Your Reading & Activities
to Earn Points

Use Beanstack from your computer or download the Beanstack Tracker app to track your books read, activities completed, and badges earned from May 22 to July 30.

To record books using Beanstack on your computer, log into your Beanstack account through the Hall County Library website, select the reader you are recording for in the upper left and click “Log Reading and Activities.” All reading counts! Books, magazines, eBooks and even audiobooks!

For babies through preschoolers, earn 10 points for each picture book you read.
Children can receive points for reading a book more than once!

For elementary-aged children through adults, select the specific reader and log “Minutes.”
Enter the amount of time you spent reading (one point for every minute read!)
You can also earn points and badges for activity challenges and using library services. Click “Activities” to log these points. Click “Close” to return to the home screen and see your points and badges earned!
